Houriya is an oriental dance instructor, a psychologist and a Qi-gong enthusiast.
Her dance journey started the same year as her studies in psychology in 2002. Born and raised in France in an Algerian family, she was immersed in a musical bath of Algerian and Middle-Eastern musics from an early age.
Hourya has a solid training in oriental dances (10 years) and attended several professional trainings with Egyptian Master teachers abroad and in Cairo. She is also interested in how the body works and has taken several courses in movement anatomy and dance movement analysis in France. She likes to teach oriental dances as a self-discovery and had the chance to teach at the Egyptian Dance Academy in Toronto, directed by Nada El Masriya.
